  Who is a Christian?

Jesus speaking of Himself said,

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. “ John 3:16,17.

The apostle Paul writes,

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Paul also writes,

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9.

Thus the way I see things is that a Christian is someone who believes in The Lord Jesus Christ. Someone who believes Christ died for their sins. 

A Christian is someone who is saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Not by good works.
