Believing by faith
The apostle Paul wrote,
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” Romans 10:9-13.
This in a nutshell is what those who believe in Christ Jesus believe. This is what I believe.
It is a belief I simply present to those I meet and let them decide for themselves.
In the book of Hebrews we read,
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6.
Faith, especially faith in someone we cannot see is a very difficult thing. That’s why I believe God asks us to believe by faith.
Thus my question is, Do you believe in God and have you accepted by faith the saving faith that comes through Christ Jesus?
Please think about it.
