An Obligation
The Psalmist writes,
“I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing praise to your name,
O Most High.”
Psalm 9:1,2.
Jesus said,
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.
As a believer in Christ Jesus I firmly believe we have an obligation to follow the commandment of Jesus to go and make disciple of all nations.
In order to do that we must tell of Gods love and greatness. We must tell of his wonders, rejoice in Him and praise His name.
I do not believe there is room for negativity when we are telling the world about God.
All to many people claiming to be Christians over the centuries have made God out to be an old man carrying a big stick to hit us with when we do wrong. Quite the contrary God is a God of Love. Jesus said,
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16,17.
Thus our obligation to God and to the people of the world is to proclaim Gods love to them.
Question; If you consider yourself a follower of Christ Jesus, are you proclaiming Gods love to the people around you?
Please think about it.
