Christians are Aliens in this world
The Apostle Peter writes,
“Dear friends,
I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." 1 Peter 2:9-12.
We as believers in Christ must remember that we are simple visitors, landed immigrants in this world. While here we need to follow the laws of the country in which we live.
Only if the laws of the land prohibit our worshipping God do we have the right to go against the law of the land.
Peter makes it clear we are to abstain from sinful desires and live good lives among those around us.
