In good and bad
In the book of Lamentations we read,
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22,23.
God’s love is unending. Not only that God’s love can reach even the darkest places.
Corrie Ten Boom who survived Ravensbruck concentration camp during world war two, said,
"There is no pit so deep
that God's love is not deeper still".

The apostle Paul who knew about suffering for being a believer in Christ Jesus, wrote,
"Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
"Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2 Timothy 11-13.
I don’t know why God lets us go through hard times. But I do know that in those hard times and in the good times. God is with us.
For me there is one verse that has encouraged me, especially in the hard times. It reads,
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5,6.
We may not know why we are going through tough times but we do know if we keep trusting in God He will bring us through it.
