Standing with Jesus
In the book of James we read,
“You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” James 4:4
Jesus said,
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” Matthew 6:24.
If we are going to follow Christ we must follow him wholeheartedly. We cannot blend the ways of the world with our faith. We must be willing to as Jesus said,
“Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Mark 8:34.
The apostle Paul writing to Timothy states,
"Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him(Jesus), we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13.
So where do you stand with Jesus?
