What Christians must do

What Christians must do
Jesus when asked,
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
Jesus also said,
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,...” Matthew 5:43,44
Jesus said,
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others,
you will be judged,
and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
                                                                              Matthew 7:1,2.
The apostle Paul wrote,
“What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?
Are you not to judge those inside?
God will judge those outside.
“Expel the wicked man from among you.”
                                 1 Corinthians 5:12,13.
Jesus said,
“So in everything,
do to others
what you would have them do to you,
for this sums up the Law and the Prophets”
                                                      Matthew 7:12.
James the half brother of Jesus wrote,
“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?” James 2:14-20
These are Christian “must do’s”. Love God, Love your neighbour, Love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you. Do not Judge especially those outside the church. Christians may judge those who claim to be Christian to see if they are teaching the word of God correctly. If they are not we are to expel them from the church,.
Additionally Christians are also to do all they can to help the needy, the sick, and the hungry.
Please think about it.
