Who’s first in your life?
The apostle Peter wrote,
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Dear friends,
I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." 1 Peter 2:9-12.
The apostle Peter tells us we are people of God. Aliens and strangers in this world. As such we are to live our lives in a manner that glorifies God.
There is no such thing as an Anglican Christian, a Catholic Christian, a Pentecostal Christian, A Baptist Christian and there certainly is no such thing as a Christian nationalist. There is simply Christians called by God to present the gospel message and point people to heaven.
We must always remember we serve God first. No institution, no political party, no “Christian denomination” or anything else in this world. To do so would have us serving two masters and Jesus said,
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money Matthew 16:24.
So whom do you put first in your life?
Please think about it.
