This very night

This very night

Jesus told this story,

“And he (Jesus) told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop.

He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'

"Then he said, ‘This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.

And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '

"But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'

"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God." Luke 12:16-21.

Here is a simple question to Christians. Are you rich toward God?

Now there’s nothing wrong with being wealthy. Many wealthy people throughout the years have helped spread the gospel message.

The problem comes when you put your trust in your wealth.

You don’t know if you will live to see the next moment let alone the next day or year. Thus we should have our lives right before God at all times.

We need to accept the gift of salvation that comes from God through Jesus Christ. We need to confess our sins directly to God. The apostle John stating,

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives." 1John 1:9-10.

So my question to you is... have you confessed your sin to God and accepted the salvation God offers through Christ Jesus?

Jesus speaking of himself stating,

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son". John 3:16-18.

Please think about it.
