My Shepherd

My Shepherd
The Psalmist writes,
“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
 He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
 your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
                                                                          Psalm 23.
This is a promise to all who would believe in God. To all who would believe in Christ Jesus. No matter what we go through God will be with us. In good times and in bad times.
The writer of Proverbs states,
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”Proverbs 3:5,6.
Jesus said,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.
These are promises that I think many Christians struggle with yet they are promises we must believe in if we are to have peace in our heart and mind.
Do you struggle with letting God be your shepherd? With trusting in God in all your situations?
Why not take a few minutes to pray and ask God to help you trust more in Him?
Please think about it.
