Do you believe this?

 Do you believe?

The Gospel of Matthew records,

“After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.

The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

Suddenly Jesus met them."Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshipped him.

Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me." Matthew 28:1-10.

Flavius Josephus, (Born: 34AD died 98 A.D.), a romanized Jewish historian. Wrote,

"About this time arose Jesus, a wise man, who did good deeds and whose virtues were recognized. And many Jews and people of other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. However, those who became his disciples preached his doctrine.     They related that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion and that he was alive. Perhaps he was the Messiah in connection with whom the prophets foretold wonders [Josephus, Jewish Antiquities, XVIII 3.2]

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is something each person when presented with the life of Jesus must choose to believe or not. There is no middle ground here. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is the cornerstone of Christian belief. You cannot be a Christian, a follower of Christ Jesus and not believe in His resurrection.

The Apostle Paul wrote,

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,  for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:9-13.

Thus my question to you is do you believe what Matthew and Paul are saying?

Please think about it.

Do you believe this?

  Do you believe this?

The apostle Peter writes,

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade kept in heaven for you” 1Peter 1:3-4.

This is what Christians believe. We have a living hope in heaven that can never perish, spoil, or fade.

This is what Christians, believers in Christ Jesus want to tell the world about. It is something everyone who puts their trust in Christ Jesus has. It is a gift from God.

The apostle Paul writes,

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9.

As Christians we believe you cannot live a life good enough to stand before God. God knowing this sent his one and Only Son, Jesus, to redeem us. To save us.

This redemption is a gift. Like any gift the individual must accept it for it to mean anything.

It’s like someone offering you the key to a house and telling you its yours all you have to do is accept the key. If you don’t accept the key the house is not yours.

John’s gospel records this conversation between Martha and Jesus. John states,

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;  and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26.

Martha believed, what Jesus said. Thus my question to you is do you believe what Jesus said?

Will you accept the saving Grace that comes from God through Jesus Christ?

Please think about it.

Do you believe this

Do you believe this?
The writer of Hebrews states,
"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven." Hebrews 1:1-3.
Jesus is God incarnate. God in the flesh. This is a core belief of all Christians. You cannot be a Christian and not believe Jesus is God incarnate.
The apostle Paul writes,
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8.
The gospel of John records this question that Jesus asked to Martha. It a question all who are presented with Christ Jesus must answer for themselves. John records.
"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;  and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
"Yes Lord" she told Him, "I believe you are the Christ the Son of God, who was to come into the world," John 11:25,26,27.
So my question to you the reader is, do you believe Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, who has come into the world?
Please think about it.

Do you believe this?

Do you believe this?

The psalmist states,
"I wait for the LORD,
my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope."
                                                             Psalm 130:5.
Is your hope in the Lord?
The Prophet Isaiah wrote,
"Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tiered or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary
they will walk and not faint."
                                         Isaiah 40: 28-31.
If you are truly a Christian, a believer in Christ Jesus, do you believe this?
Please think about it.

Do you believe this?

Do you believe this?
“All men are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the LORD blows on them.
Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever.”
                                                    Isaiah 40:6-8
There is one statistic that every person living today will one day be a part of. The ultimate statistic. The ultimate statistic states that everyone that is born will one day die.
The American evangelist Tony Campolo made an interesting statement about death, he said,
“When you were born, you cried and everybody else was happy. The only question that matters is this - when you die, will you be happy when everybody else is crying?”Tony Campolo
Which begs the question dear reader do you know God?
Do you know where you will spend eternity?
For me as a Christian this is how I believe you get to heaven enter heaven.
Jesus said,
1/ “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”  John 3:16,17.
2/ “....I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Jesus is the way to heaven.
3/ The apostle Paul writing to the Romans said,
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23,24.
Sinning is falling short of what God wants for you life. Sin separates us from God.
4/ The apostle John noting,
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.” 1 John 1:9,10.
5/ The apostle Paul make it clear salvation is not something we can work for. Paul writing to the Ephesians stating,
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9
6/ Ultimately salvation is an act of faith, Hebrews stating,
“And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”Hebrews 11:6
Faith defined as by the writer of Hebrews as,
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see.”
                                                Hebrews 11:1.
