Need to Praise

Need to praise.
The Psalmist writes,
“Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.”
                           Psalm 150.
I think it is important for us as believers especially in these uncertain times to lift up our voices and praise God. To remember that God does bless us.
I am blessed to live in Canada where Covid-19 is relatively under control. To make things better I attend a small church that because of its size can meet, socially distance and take all precautions necessary to prevent spread of the illness.
So it just seemed appropriate the other day when our congregation sang,
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heavenly host.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost."
There is a lot of changes we must live with during this pandemic. At the same time there are a lot of things that don’t have to change. Principle among them is worshipping God.
You don’t need to meet in a Church building to worship God. All you need to do is lift your voice no matter where you are and give praise to God.
So why not take a few moments right now to praise God?
Please think about it.
