Nothing can separate us
The apostle Paul writes,
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:38,39
If you consider yourself a Christian. A true follower of Christ Jesus. Do you agree with this statement. You should, because it’s true.
No matter where we go or what happens to us be it good or bad the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus is with us.
Many despots and evil governments have tried to separate God from His followers but to no avail.
In the book of acts we read of Pharisee named Gamaliel a teacher of the Law an honoured man, standing before the Sanhedrin as they were presiding over the trial of two of Christ’s apostles. Gamaliel said,
“Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.
But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” Acts 5:38,39.
Since the day Gamaliel spoke those words two thousand years have passed and the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus has spread around the world. Today in excess of three billion people believe in Christ and are willing to die for Him.
I think this proves that the apostle Paul is right. Nothing can separate a true believer in Christ Jesus from the Love of God.
