Why we do it
Jesus told this parable,
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:44-46.
Someone as asked “why do Christians talk about Jesus so much?” the answer to that is in the above quote from Jesus.
We as Christians, as believers in Christ Jesus truly believe we have, in Jesus found a hidden treasure or a fine pearl of great price, and we want to tell the world about it.
We do truly believe that the most important person in all of history and in our personal lives is Jesus.
Jesus is God incarnate who came to this earth to die for our sins. To make away for us to go to heaven.
The apostle Paul telling us,
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8.
That being said all we can do is present what we believe to anyone who will listen. All we can do is tell those around us what the apostle Paul wrote,
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-13.
Do you believe this?
Please think about it.
