“Turn to me and be saved,all you ends of the earth;
for I am God, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:22Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus God through Isaiah the prophet showed that salvation was for the whole world.
“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”
Isaiah 45:22We cannot be good enough to stand before God Isaiah notes, “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. Isaiah 64:6
That is why Jesus came to this world. In Jesus our sins are taken away.
The Psalmist states,
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
Psalm 103:8-13Take note of the words of the Psalmist. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
We must have a reverential fear of God. We must respect Him and all that He is.
The apostle Paul in his sermon to the Athenians said,
“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man’s design and skill.
In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.”
Acts 17:29-31Jesus made things clear when he answered Thomas by saying,
“...“I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6.God always gives us a choice. You can accept Him for all He is, or you can reject Him. There is no middle ground.
The answer to what life is all about is in the Bible. All one must do is read it. Read it with an open mind asking God to show you just who He is and what He wants for your life.
The Bible makes it clear when John quotes Jesus as saying,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him."
John 3:16,17Will you this day receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?
Think About it?
