Of great price.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.
When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”
Matthew 13:44-46
I speak here directly to Christians. How valuable is your faith. Would you give your all for Christ? Do you take your stand for Christ when those around you do not.
I know there are many people who go to church all their lives yet outside of Church do not take their stand for Christ. They go along with the crowd. Even if the crowd says and does things Christians shouldn’t be doing.
In order for our faith in Christ to be affective we must value it above all things. We must if necessary be willing to die for our faith.
Here in North America I very much doubt we’ll under every day circumstances have to be willing to die for our faith. However we may from time to time be called to stand up for what we believe.
In our work place and in our daily lives we shouldn’t participate in things that would be contrary to what Christ would do.
We must be willing to take our stand for Christ even if we loose friends.
While we like Christ should be willing to sit down with anyone. We should not be compromising our faith when we do so.
We must be willing to present the Good News of Jesus in a simple way respecting the beliefs and ways of those you are speaking to.
Questions: Is Christ the most precious thing in your life? Are you doing all you can to further the kingdom of Christ?
Please think about it.
