Jesus said,
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 7:12.
Christianity is very much a faith of action. We believe first and foremost that we must go into all the world and tell the world about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Jesus in the above quote makes it clear that we should do to others what we would want to happen to us.
We need to take that thought to heart. We need to look at the choices we make in life. We need to look at how we treat the people around us and ask ourselves would I like to be treated like that?
Jesus said,
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13:34,35.
Love is a key factor in being a Christian we are called to Love God, our neighbour and our enemy.
The apostle Paul wrote,
“Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails....
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a,13.Love is the one thing we all appreciate. Love is the one thing we should be showing to others at all times in word and most especially in deed. In doing so we can and will reach the world for Christ.
Please think about it.
