  A point to ponder

Jesus said,

... "I am the way and the truth and the life. 

No one comes to the Father except through me.”

                                                                               John 14:6

John the Baptist speaking of Jesus said,

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,...”

                                                                                       John 3:36a

Here in a nutshell for all who read this to ponder are two points. Both saying that whoever believes that Jesus is the Son of God, whoever believes Jesus is the only way to heaven will receive eternal life.

The words of Jesus make it clear that He is the way to heaven. That no one comes to the Father except through Him.

In the book of Matthew we read something all who are presented with Jesus must decide for them selves. Matthew records,

"When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" 

They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 

"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" 

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:13-16.

Thus my question to you; who do you believe Jesus to be?
