Where is Love?

 Where is Love?

The apostle Paul wrote,

"Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,

it is not easily angered,

it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil

but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love."

                                                                 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a,13.

The above is the apostle Pauls definition of Christian love. Something all Christians have a duty to show to family, friend, and foe alike.

Sadly in this world love is lacking.

In his Christmas message the Pope noted that the world has become desensitised to crisis and suffering. So much so people hardly notice it.

Today around the world there are ten of thousands of people in crisis. The pandemic is only making this worse. Therefor I believe it is imperative that Christians do what they can to help those in crisis wherever they are in the world. Even if it is only giving a few dollars to an aid agency.

At the same time it is important for Christians to pray for those around the world who are living under repression.

If you consider yourself a Christian are you doing what you can to help those in need, be it in your neighbourhood, country, or around the world?

Please think about it.
