Do you force it

  Do you force it?

The apostle Peter wrote,

“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,”1 Peter 3:15.

Are you prepared to respectfully give a reason for why you believe in Jesus? Sadly many who claim to be Christians are not. Worse still many calling themselves Christians want to force their faith on people. They even try to force governments to pass legislation that will force their faith on people.

All this does is force people away.

We as Christians must strive to present the gospel of Jesus Christ in a respectful way. If we want to see how we simply have to look at how the apostle Paul did so in Athens (Acts 17:17-34). Paul respected the beliefs of the Athenians while presenting the Gospel of Christ. The results were mixed. Some wanted to hear more. Some sneered at what he said. While some believed him.

When you present the gospel of Christ do you respect the beliefs of the people you’re presenting that gospel to?

OR do you try to force your beliefs on someone?

Please think about it.

Fighting God

  Fighting God

In the book of Acts we read a Pharisee named Gamaliel standing before the Sanhedrin as they were presiding over the trial of two of Christ's apostles saying,

"Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.

But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God." Acts 5:38,39.

I firmly believe Gamaliel was right about what the apostles were preaching about being from God. The proof is that two thousand years later what the disciple of Christ were preaching is still going on. The message of the Gospel of Christ has reached into every nation.

Not only that any attempts by governments from the time of the Romans to the present day to try and stop the spread of the Love of Christ has failed.

I do believe that those governments and government leaders that try to stop the spread of the gospel will one day stand before God and give an account for their actions.

If I am wrong those who oppose the Gospel message. Those who oppose Christ Jesus have nothing to fear.

If on the other hand I am right, as I believe I am, then all who oppose and try to suppress the Gospel message have a lot to fear.

Please think about it.

Foolishness?

Foolishness?
The apostle Paul writes,
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
                                                                                1 Corinthians 1:18.
Think about this. The whole New Testament revolves around Jesus. Jesus who claimed to be the Son of God. Equal to God. It talks about his dying on the cross for the sins of each individual who would believe in him. It talks about his resurrection from the grave. It tell of how he waked the earth after rising from the grave. Then ascended into heaven.
This to many people today and in the past seems foolishness. Yet those who believe in Christ Jesus believe it to be absolutely true.
The question is do you believe what the New Testament says about Jesus or not.
Many who dismiss Jesus and God out of hand I find have not read the Bible. What they know of the teachings of Jesus and Jesus himself is purely second hand. Which can be a dangerous thing. For second hand sources can have a bias.
I firmly believe individuals need to read the Bible for themselves. It is the only way to truly know the truth about Jesus and about God.
Thus my challenge to anyone who reads this take time to at least read the New Testament before you make up your mind about Jesus.
Please think about it.
