What the world needs
Jesus said,
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets” Matthew 7:12.
You can’t have a more complete statement than that when it comes to Christian living. Christians should be doing to other people what they would want them to be doing to them.
When asked,
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40.
Jesus however did not stop there he said,
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:43-45
These are clear statements of Jesus to Christians. To be a Christian you can do no less than love.
The apostle Paul said of Love,
There is a wonderful prayer attributed to Francis of Assisi that states,
A life truly dedicated to Christ is giving of ones self in the name of Jesus.
Are you living such a life?

Love does not delight in evil

Love never fails....
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Francis of Assisi
A life truly dedicated to Christ is one of love and selflessness. Of reaching out to others with the Love of Jesus no matter who they are, their lifestyle, or their position in life.A life truly dedicated to Christ is giving of ones self in the name of Jesus.
