Take a Minute

Take a Minute
Here is something to consider doing. The Psalmist wrote,
“Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting is my life.
You have made my days a mere hand breadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Each man’s life is but a breath.
                                                 Psalms 39:4,5
Find a quiet place and consider what the Psalmist is saying here.
Think about your life how fragile it is. How brief your life in this world is in the light of eternity. Then ask yourself where will I spend eternity?
If you are unsure consider the words of Jesus who speaking of himself said,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”  John 3:16,17
Consider the words of the Apostle John who said,
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
In him was life, and that life was the light of men....
He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—  children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:1-4, 11-14.
What the Apostle John is saying here is the God that created the heavens and the earth and everything in it, loved mankind so much he came into the world He created in the form of his one and only Son Jesus Christ. To show each person the way to heaven.
Not only that but to all who would accept Jesus by faith into their lives he gave the right to become children of God.
That to my way of thinking is an incredible privilege offered to each and every person who hears about Jesus.
What do you think?
Please think about it.
