The bottom line when it comes to God is you first must have faith, that He indeed exists. The writer of Hebrews stating,“And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6.
The other thing is we must be actively seeking God in order to truly find Him.
Jesus said,
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
he who seeks finds;
and to him who knocks,
the door will be opened.
Luke 11:9,10
