Pour yourself out
The prophet Isaiah states,
"If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday." Isaiah 58:10.
The apostle Peter writes,
“Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." 1 Peter 2:12.
Jesus said,
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven" Matthew 5:16.
Are the people around you seeing your good deeds without you pointing them out to them?
As believers in Christ Jesus we should be doing our best to do good deeds whenever we can. Do they see God at work in your life.
Francis of Assisi said,
"The deeds you do
may be the only sermon some persons will hear today"
Francis of Assisi.
So what are your deeds telling those around you?
Please think about it.
