Both in word and in deed

Both in word and in deed

The apostle Paul writes,

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8,9.

C.S. Lewis said,

"The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us." C.S. Lewis.

A Christian accepts the fact that he or she is a sinner. One who falls short of God’s ideal. One who cannot work his or her way to heaven.

A Christians is one who accepts the saving grace of Christ Jesus who died for our sins. That we might get to heaven.

A Christian believes what the apostle Paul said, when he wrote,

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.  2 Corinthians 5:18-20.

A Christian is one who understands that they are Christ’s ambassadors in this world and who’s job it is to tell the world of the love and saving grace that comes through belief in Christ Jesus.

If you consider yourself a Christian. A true believer in Christ Jesus do you believe this?

Do you tell the world about the Love of God and the Saving grace that comes through Christ Jesus both in word and in deed?

Please think about it.
