  The Lord Gives and takes

In the book of Job we read,

“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; 

may the name of the Lord be praised.”

                                                              Job 1:21   

Do you believe this? I think this is a hard concept for people especially here in North America with its materialistic society to understand. 

As for me I admire Job. He had things in perspective. He truly loved God and trusted in him. Job going as far as saying,

“Though He (God) slay me, yet will I hope in him; 

 I will surely defend my ways to his face.” 

                                                                 Job 13:15.

I wonder how many of us can say this? Could you?
