Lunatic, poached egg, or God?

  Lunatic, poached egg, or God?

In John’s gospel John referring to Jesus as the word states,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of men....

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. " John 1:1-4,14.

Jesus speaking the Thomas said,

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6.

John also records this incident in the life of Jesus,

"I (Jesus) and the Father are one."

Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?"

"We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." John 10:30-33.

What John records here in his gospel makes it clear that Jesus claimed to be one with God. That he is God in the flesh. It is what Christians believe.

C. S. Lewis talking about Jesus states,

“That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse.” C.S.Lewis.

Thus my question to you; Who do you think Jesus is?

Please think about it.
