Believe it or not
The apostle Paul writes,
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time.”1 Timothy 2:5,6.
Paul also wrote,
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8.
In Matthews gospel we read of Jesus saying,
“Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.
The apostle Paul telling us,
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
Romans 10:9-13.
These statements are the basis of Christianity. If these statements are untrue then no one has anything to fear when they stand before God. If on the other hand they are true it becomes a much different matter.
C. S. Lewis said,
"Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." C. S. Lewis.
Thus my question is to you is; do you believe what is said above.
Please think about it.
